「ムービー再生ソフトウェア」は、「動画再生ソフトウェア」でいかがでしょうか?


「インストールするように催促されます」
これは解釈が間違っているように思います。ポイントとしては、あなたに代わって再生ソフトがコーデックをインストールしますよ、ということだと思います。そうじゃないと、その後ろの"If
not, you'll have to install the codecs manually"と論理的につながらないでしょう。


「手動でコーデックをインストールしなければならないでしょう」
「手動でコーデックをインストールする必要があります」。will単独は断定表現なので、「でしょう」という推量表現は違和感があります。


「インストールする方法を誰かに質問してください。」
これがちょっと唐突な感じがしますね。読み手からすれば、なんでいきなり誰かに質問しろなんて言われんといかんのか、と。
ひとつには、自動でインストールできない (手動でしないといけない) という状況なので一筋縄じゃいかない、という文脈がない。
もうひとつは、いわゆる命令ではなく提案だと思うので、「〜するとよいでしょう」とかそんな感じにするとよいのかもしれません。

を再生できる地域が制限されます。」とかいかがでしょうか。
「もしあなたのコンピューターのDVDプレイヤーのリージョンとDVDのリージョンが合わなければ、そのDVDを再生することはできません。」
