「この世界には」が坂本さんらしくてちょっと吹いてしまいました。これ要らないです... (一応この世界が話題になっていることは前提だと考えてください...)。

「ご友人」は「友達」とかで。少なくとも接頭辞の「ご」は落としてください。


「自由なコーデックをダウンロードして」
原文は "download the right codec for free" です。
"download a free right codec" ではありませんし、"for
free"はあくまで対価について言及していると解釈するのが妥当ではないでしょうか?
仮に "download * for free" の
"free"が自由の意であれば、"for"は対価を意味しなくなり、自由を得るためにダウンロードするという文脈的にかなり唐突な英文になってしまいます。
もちろん、元々の目的はビデオを観たいということであって、"for 自由" ではありません。
