Fwd: An inquire about LinuxCon Japan 2015 and the possibility about hosting GNOME Asia Summit 2016 in Japan

# Translator

I'm glad to hear that you remember me and our conversation.

While its possible to do some contributions remotely and the GNOME
Asia Committee support the effort a local team needs to lead the
initiative around the Summit including tasks such as write and summit
a bid, recruit volunteers, local promotion, contact with sponsors and
other logistical things.

Its unfortunate the GNOME community in Japan is so small given the
technical interest among the population I would actually expect it to
be more activity around GNOME in Japan.

I still think it would be a very good idea to co-host the GNOME 2016
Asia summit with Linuxcon Japan 2016 but if there is no or very few
local people who is interested in such initiative it will be very hard
to do. That said its not uncommon for the local team to struggle with
this its something that is very clear from efforts around this year's
edition of the Asia Summit.

Its great that you think that.

Sounds interesting, have not personally deicided if I will attend the
conference and visit Japan this year or not (most do that soon).

That's good to know thanks.

Of course, or I can send a mail about it to the list. Do you anyone
personally who is involved with GNOME in Japan?
Are looking forward to hear back from you.
