ファイル名等の変更時に、ダイアログやポップオーバーに表示されるメッセージです。厳密には「名前が “.” から始まる…」という表現でしょうが、名前入力中におけるメッセージなので「名前が」を省略しても差し支えないでしょう。

これまで同様に「このアプリケーションについて(_A)」を推したいですね。ご存知の通りここでの「ファイル」は固有名詞なのですが、紛らわし過ぎますよね。"FIles" に対する呼称を思い切って変更（例えば、ファイルブラウザー、ファイルマネージャーあるいは原文のままの Files など）するならば「○○について(_A)」でもよいかなぁと思います。
